Harvia R-991 rounded sauna stones look like stones smoothed by river rapids, and they bring a softer steam to your sauna. Water runs easily down between the rounded stones to the lower layers, reaching more surface area, so you get plenty of steam with a gentler feel.
Made of grey olivine diabase, sized 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 in), in a 33 lb box. Pile them loosely for good air circulation. In heaters with a smaller stone capacity, Harvia suggests angular stones of the same size in the bottom layers and rounded stones on top.
