Harvia vulcanite sauna stones are fine-grained, dark grey volcanic rock that turns a deep black when wet, a lovely look in any sauna. The split faces store plenty of heat, so water you throw on them turns to steam quickly across the broad surface, and the stones stand up well to the constant swing between hot and cool.
They stack easily with good air circulation and come clean and ready to use. Use them in electric sauna heaters, or as the top layer of stones in a wood-burning stove. Choose 5-10 cm (2-4 in) or 10-15 cm (4-6 in) stones, in a 44 lb box. Your heater's manual will tell you which size and how many boxes it needs.
